The world’s only safe and
proven solution to soluble
varnish problems.
The true source
of the varnish problem, without question, is the production of oxidation by-products that remain in solution. These
varnish pre-cursors are the feed stock from which all varnish
is created. The soluble contaminants, varnish pre-cursors, accumulate and undergo additional chemical reactions that
eventually create high molecular weight monomers and polymers that will fall out of solution creating varnish. The EPT ICB™ technology is packaged in the SVR (Soluble Varnish Removal) system and removes soluble contaminants before they are allowed to convert into varnish.

SVR 1200-M Features
• ICB™ filters use patent-pending ion-exchange resin
and preparation technology to remove soluble varnish
contaminants without affecting turbine oil additives.
This technology is based off the most experienced ICB
products in the world with over 30 million operating hours
of experience
• Dramatically reduces varnish potential in large frame gas
turbines as measured by the Membrane Patch Colorimetry
test (Draft ASTM Standard) or QSA® test within 1-2 weeks
• Eliminates varnish-related problems in all turbine-system
components
• The system also removes solid varnish deposits by
increasing the fluid solvency
• The SVR 1200-M runs slipstream filtration off the main
turbine reservoir, using same inlet and outlet valves as
common EOC systems
• Helps reduce ISO particle-counts
• Helps restore fluid colour and transparency
• Small footprint and straightforward plumbing
• Low maintenance: ICB filters changed roughly once a year
(system dependent)
