Founded in 1999, Ecoçúcar, a small family Co. located in Paraná, Brasil, took its first steps into the organic market. In 2003, acquired its first organic certification.
The company has 100 hectare of organic sugar-cane, and plans to grow it to 170 hectare.
The facilities cover a total area of 7000m², where all the production takes place. For the next 2 years, the capacity will grow into 10 tons/day, all produced, processed, packed and sold by Ecoçucar, making it the second player in the Brazilian market for mascavo brown sugar-cane.
Our Indiana organic MASCAVO brown sugar cane is a pure, wholesome, unrefined and unbleached sugar. The sugar is obtained through the evaporation and the concentration of the cane juice which gives it a golden brown color. It contains essential minerals and vitamins such as Calcium, Potassium and Magnesium. It's after all a very healthy alternative as a source of energy.
