Malaysian Bioeconomy Development Corporation (Bioeconomy Corp) is the lead development agency for the bio-based industry in Malaysia, under the purview of Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry (MOA).
We are:
1. Owned by the Minister of Finance Incorporated & Federal Lands Commissioner;
2. Governed by the Biotechnology Implementation Council; and
3. Advised by the Bioeconomy International Advisory Panel, chaired by the Honorable Prime Minister of Malaysia.
Our key functions are as follows:
1. Act as the central contact point for bio-based businesses in Malaysia;
2. Actively promote trade and create multi-lateral market access between countries involved in the bio-based industry;
3. Actively attract foreign direct investments into Malaysia's bio-based industry; and
4. Act as the commercial arm for Malaysia's bio-based industry and enhance role of promoting local bio-based products and services.
